Bed Construction: The press bed is 2-1/2" cherry hardwood, flatness tolerance of less than five-thousands (5/1000) of an inch; surface of press bed is covered with 1/8" neoprene rubber; 1/16" thick galvanized steel covers the entire press bed, six 4" wide steel strips are screwed to the lower surface to provide a contact surface to the main drum.

Pressure: The pressure system allows a printing range from 1/2" to 4-1/8". This pressure system is a double lobed concentric cam with grease fittings in all moving parts.
Drive System: The drive system consists of a one to seven (1 to 7) chain reduction for ease of cranking, a spring loaded clutch and a stop-lock system for the press bed. The ease of hand cranking under any pressure is obtained by our superior gear reduction system that is enclosed in a custom cast aluminum gear guard.
Finish: We use an automotive type of finish that is a three step process which consists of special cleansers, special primers and a special paint called Imron, a Dupont product. This paint, a two-part polyurethane which ensures a durable hard finish, is used by manufacturers of custom automobile and airplane bodies. We go through this labor intensive process to ensure that you have a unique custom quality finish that will endure for years and years. Other exposed metal parts are either polished aluminum or polished bronze.
