Intaglio Press Series III

Frame: The frame is fabricated out of heavy wall steel tubing. The legs are 2" x 5" rectangular tubing. The wall thickness is .180. The upper portion of the frame is welded as one unit and is made of 1/4" steel plates.
Rollers: The top is 8-1/2" extra heavy-wall steel tubing. It is fabricated and has two steel inner disks that are welded for strength. The roller is machined and hard chromed plated for durability and to prevent rusting. The bottom roller is 4-1/2" solid steel. Both top and bottom rollers have self-aligning ball bearing units.
Press Bed: The press bed is 1-1/8" thick; it has been flame cut and stress relieved. The bed is grounded on both sides for flatness. Eight bearings guide the press bed through to maintain accurate movement of the bed through the machine. Gear reduction is by a low profile gear box with a 7 to 1 gear reduction to the 4-1/2" bottom roller. Please read technical information for further details.
Safety Features: The press bed has mechanical stops that prevent the bed from coming off the frame. The press also has 4 built-in stops on the frame to prevent the bed from tilting out of the frame and a cast aluminium chain guard that encloses all the drive mechanisms.
Finish: All steel parts are cadmium plated to prevent rust except the press bed. The press is painted with the best acrylic enamel epoxy paint for a very durable hard finish.
